Ships anchor offshore and transfer passengers by panga (small open motorboat) to either Black Beach (Playa Negra) near Puerto Velasco Ibarra on the west coast, or directly to specific visitor sites like Post Office Bay or Punta Cormorant. Check with your ship: wet landings (you wade ashore) are common; dry landings on a flat rock or dock are less so.
