Yueyang sits where the Yangtze River embraces Dongting Lake — one of China’s most storied landscapes, painted by poets and feared by emperors for a thousand years. Few cruise stops on the Three Gorges itinerary carry this much cultural weight packed into a single skyline. Step ashore and you’re walking straight into Chinese history, folklore, and flavour.
