Helping Cruisers Make the Most of Every Port
Cruises.to exists for one reason: to get good information into the hands of people standing on a gangway, trying to decide what to do with their few hours ashore.
Built Because Port Guides Were Stuck in the Past
We started Cruises.to 11 years ago, in 2015, after one too many cruises spent squinting at cluttered, dated port-guide sites that looked like they hadn't been touched since the ports themselves were first dredged. The information was often fine. The experience of actually using it wasn't.
The market leaders had the data but not the design — slow pages, walls of grey text, maps that didn't load, nothing built for someone standing at the rail trying to plan a morning before the ship sails. We thought cruise passengers deserved better: a guide that's genuinely pleasant to use, not just technically complete.
So we set out to build something different — a modern, well-designed home for port information that respects your time, whether you're planning months ahead from your couch or standing on deck with five minutes of signal left.
Grown One Port at a Time
What started as a handful of guides has grown into one of the most complete cruise-port resources online.
Grounded in Real Cruises, Not Guesswork
Every guide on this site is shaped by quite a few cruises' worth of firsthand experience — the walk from the tender to town, which excursion desks are worth the queue, and how much time you really need to get back aboard before all-aboard. That experience is what keeps these guides practical instead of generic.
This isn't about any one person's travel diary, though. It's about turning that experience into something useful for every cruiser who comes after — clear, current, and easy to act on the moment you step off the ship.
Information for Every Cruiser, Free to Use
Cruises.to is an independently run guide — not owned or sponsored by any cruise line. The goal has never changed since day one: get useful, well-presented port information in front of the people who need it, for free.
