About Viking Hnoss

Viking Hnoss is a new Viking Longship scheduled for delivery in 2027. Designed for European river cruising, the 135-meter vessel accommodates up to 190 guests in 95 staterooms and is served by a crew of 53. Its Scandinavian-inspired design includes extensive river views, indoor-outdoor Aquavit Terrace dining, a Sun Deck with a walking track and putting green, and a compact layout suited to the Rhine and other European waterways. The ship is intended to combine destination-focused travel with comfortable, understated onboard spaces.

Onboard Experience

Signature highlights

The ship features four decks, a 360-degree-view Sun Deck, a walking track, a putting green, an herb garden, solar panels, and Viking’s hybrid longship propulsion concept. Most staterooms provide either a French balcony or a full veranda.

Dining

Dining includes the main Hnoss Restaurant and the Aquavit Terrace, which combines buffet service with an indoor-outdoor setting. The Aquavit Terrace is designed for scenic al fresco meals and relaxed river viewing.

Entertainment

Entertainment is centered on destination-focused programming, live music, local performers, cultural presentations, and enrichment talks rather than a dedicated theater. The ship also provides a library and lounge-bar areas.

Staterooms & suites

Viking Hnoss has 95 outside staterooms: standard rooms, French Balcony staterooms, Veranda staterooms, Veranda Suites, and Explorer Suites. The two aft Explorer Suites offer the most spacious accommodation and wraparound balcony views.

For families

Viking Hnoss is designed primarily for adult-oriented river travel and does not advertise dedicated children’s facilities or youth programming. Its compact longship layout emphasizes quiet lounges, scenic spaces, and destination immersion.

Pools, spa & wellness

The ship offers outdoor walking space and sunbathing areas but does not have a conventional fitness center, spa, swimming pool, or whirlpool. Wellness amenities are therefore limited to light recreation and open-air relaxation.

Accessibility

An elevator serves the Middle and Upper decks but does not reach the Main Deck or Sun Deck. Guests with mobility limitations should confirm deck access and cabin suitability before booking.

Environmental features

The Viking Longship design incorporates solar panels and hybrid diesel-electric propulsion intended to improve energy efficiency. These features are part of Viking’s standardized European longship concept.
