Celebration Key is a private island resort port operated exclusively by Disney Cruise Line, located in the Bahamas. Ships dock directly at a pier on the island; there is no separate town, no exploration needed, and no public transport—the entire experience is contained within the resort.

This port is designed for relaxation and family activities, not independent sightseeing. You'll find a main beach, multiple restaurants, bars, water sports rentals, and activities like paddleboarding and snorkeling. Everything is within a 10-minute walk of the dock.

Unlike Castaway Cay, Celebration Key is newer and features more dining options and a higher-end feel. It's a safe, predictable port day ideal for families or anyone who wants to unwind without logistical effort. Budget accordingly—all food, drinks, and activities are priced at resort rates, not local prices.

Is It Safe?

Celebration Key is extremely safe. It's a controlled private resort with security presence and no public access beyond guests and staff. There is no crime risk, aggressive vendors, or petty theft typical of public ports.

Swim safety is monitored. Lifeguards are posted on the main beach, and water conditions are calm. Follow posted flags and staff guidance for water entry.

Accessibility & Walkability

The island is flat and fully accessible. All pathways are paved and wide. Wheelchair users can reach the beach, restaurants, and most facilities without difficulty. Beach chairs and accessible restrooms are available. If mobility is limited, the tram (if running) or asking staff for assistance is recommended.

Outside the Terminal

You'll step directly onto a pier surrounded by the resort. Ahead: a broad sandy beach with loungers and umbrellas. To the sides: pathways leading to restaurants, bars, and beach cabanas. The resort is clean, organized, and full of families and guests in resort wear. There are no locals, no vendors outside the gates, and no surprises—it's a curated island resort experience from the moment you step ashore.

All food is served at resort restaurants and bars within the island. Options include casual beach cafes (burgers, wraps, salads, tropical bowls), sit-down restaurants, and bar snacks. Quality is good and Disney-standard, but prices are high: expect $15–25 USD for entrees, $6–12 USD for drinks. Dietary accommodations (vegetarian, allergy-friendly, gluten-free) are available if requested in advance.

No local cuisine or independent restaurants exist outside the resort. Budget $30–50 USD per person for a casual meal. Alcoholic beverages are available and pricey ($8–15 USD per drink). Many cruisers bring their own snacks and drinks to save money—check what's permitted onboard.

Shopping

A small resort shop offers souvenirs, sunscreen, and basic beach items (flip-flops, hats, cover-ups). Prices are resort-inflated. There is no local shopping, market, or downtown to explore.
