About Zuiderdam

Zuiderdam is Holland America Line’s first Vista-class ship, delivered in 2002 by Fincantieri. It combines a comparatively intimate, classic cruise-ship scale with extensive ocean views, balcony accommodations, live music, enrichment activities and a broad selection of dining venues. History & sister ships

  1. 2002Entered service, built by Fincantieri Marghera, Italy.
  2. 2007The ship underwent a major refit that lengthened the hull with a midship section.
  3. 2015A dry-dock refurbishment added staterooms on Observation Deck 10 and created The Retreat on Sports Deck 11.
  4. 2019A dry-dock refurbishment updated stateroom furnishings, wall coverings, bathrooms, televisions and selected ship systems.
  5. 2025A dry-dock refurbishment refreshed staterooms, bathrooms, carpets, retail counters, dining upholstery and outdoor furniture, and upgraded the Crow’s Nest.
