MSC Lirica is the lead ship of MSC Cruises’ Lirica class and was the line’s first purpose-built new ship. Originally completed in 2003, she was lengthened and extensively renewed in 2015 through MSC’s Renaissance Programme. Her relatively compact size supports a traditional cruise experience with intimate lounges, a broad range of cabin categories, family facilities, multiple dining venues and entertainment spaces.
The ship combines panoramic lounges and ocean views with a pool area, Broadway Theatre, Las Vegas Casino, Blue Club Disco, shopping, a virtual-reality arcade and a children’s Spray Park. Its 2015 Renaissance renewal added new cabins, family areas, entertainment spaces and updated public areas.
Dining includes La Pergola, L’Ippocampo Restaurant, La Bussola Restaurant, Le Bistrot and Kaito Sushi Bar, with cuisine ranging from Mediterranean specialties to sushi and other Asian dishes. Bars and lounges include L’Atmosphere, Lord Nelson Pub, Gelateria Italiana and the Vitamin Bar.
Onboard entertainment includes live music, theatrical productions in the Broadway Theatre, the Palm Beach Casino, Starlight Disco, shopping, pool activities, fitness classes and a virtual-reality games arcade.
Accommodation includes interior, ocean-view, balcony and suite categories. Suites offer a sitting area and bathtub, while ocean-view cabins range from approximately 12 to 22 square metres; cabin layouts and features vary by category.
Family amenities include a children’s Spray Park, dedicated children’s and teen areas, and play spaces developed with partners including Chicco, LEGO and Namco.
The ship features a panoramic gym with Technogym equipment, the MSC Aurea Spa, beauty treatments, massages and pool-deck relaxation areas.
