Pesaro sits on the Adriatic coast in Italy's Marche region, roughly 30 km south of Rimini. Ships dock at a modern pier in the harbor; it is a working fishing port with a relaxed beach-town vibe. The town is small, flat, and almost entirely walkable in 2–3 hours. It is best suited to beach time and casual exploration rather than packed excursions. Many cruisers use it as a break day—an honest, low-key alternative to busier Mediterranean ports. There is no major must-do attraction, but that is also the appeal: it is fuss-free.

Pesaro is a safe, quiet port. Crime against tourists is minimal. The waterfront and town center are well-lit and populated, especially mid-day. Standard precautions apply: do not leave valuables unattended on the beach, keep bags zipped in crowds, and avoid isolated back streets late at night.
