About Viking Polaris
Viking Polaris is a purpose-built expedition ship for polar and Great Lakes exploration, carrying 378 guests with a high crew-to-guest ratio. Its Polar Class 6 design, stabilizers, enclosed Nordic Balconies and extensive observation areas suit remote-region cruising, while the ship retains Viking’s restrained Scandinavian style. Guests have access to expedition equipment, a science lab, submarines, kayaks, multiple restaurants, a Nordic Spa and The Aula auditorium. The ship entered service in 2022 and operates as part of Viking Expeditions’ two-ship polar fleet.
