Star Explorer is Windstar Cruises’ planned all-suite Star Class yacht, scheduled to enter service in December 2026 after conversion from the expedition ship World Explorer. Carrying 224 guests in 112 suites, the compact 9,923-gross-ton vessel is designed for an intimate yacht-style experience, with nearly all accommodations offering a veranda or floor-to-ceiling window. Its small size supports access to smaller ports while maintaining Windstar’s relaxed service style.

Dining venues include Amphora, the main restaurant, and Basil + Bamboo, a specialty restaurant introduced for Star Explorer. The Yacht Club also provides a casual café and lounge setting.
Onboard entertainment includes live performances, lounge spaces and the Star Bar. The open-bridge concept adds an informal navigational experience for guests.
Star Explorer will offer 112 suites, including two Horizon Owner’s Suites with wraparound balconies. Other categories include Star, Classic, Deluxe, Veranda, Infinity and Oceanview Suites.
The ship will include World Spa by Windstar, a fitness and wellness area, a pool and other spaces intended for relaxation.
