Wind Star is a compact, four-masted sailing yacht operated by Windstar Cruises and marketed by Tauck on selected small-ship journeys. Built in 1986 and renovated in 2023, the 148-guest vessel emphasizes an informal, yachting-style experience with open teak decks, ocean-view accommodations and a high crew-to-guest ratio. Its small size allows access to ports that larger cruise ships cannot reach, while six self-furling sails provide the ship’s distinctive sailing character.
The ship features wide teak decks, a salt-water pool, whirlpool, pool bar, watersports platform, Yacht Club Café and an intimate four-deck layout. Its six self-furling sails and four-masted profile are central to the onboard experience.
