Khor Fakkan's appeal is purely marine: snorkeling in nearby coral reefs and relaxation on Sandy Beach. Khor Fakkan is a safe, well-policed UAE port with very low violent crime. Petty theft is rare. Standard precautions apply: keep valuables secure, avoid isolated areas at night (though most cruisers leave well before dark), and respect local customs (modest dress, no alcohol in public). Water safety is the main concern: ocean currents and reef hazards exist; only snorkel in designated areas or with a guide.
