The town has minimal tourist infrastructure—a few tavernas, a small market, and ferry docks—but it serves as a launch point for island hopping to nearby Meganissi and islet tours to Skorpios and Madouri. Most cruisers don't stay in Nydri itself; they use it as a gateway to quieter islands or beaches. If you prefer gentle pacing, empty beaches, and authentic Greek village life over crowds and activity, this port is worth a few hours. If you want nightlife, shopping, or structured attractions, you'll be disappointed.

Nydri is a small, quiet village with virtually no crime affecting tourists. Petty theft is extremely rare. The waterfront is safe day and night. No political unrest or civil disorder. Outside the Terminal
