Le Lapérouse is the lead ship of PONANT’s small-ship Explorers series, designed for luxury expedition cruising in remote destinations. The 184-guest vessel has 92 balcony staterooms and suites, an intimate yacht-like atmosphere, and a high crew-to-guest ratio. Its expedition-focused design includes a marina platform for Zodiac operations, reinforced ice-class construction, and the distinctive Blue Eye underwater lounge. French-inspired dining, multiple lounges, a theatre, pool, spa, fitness area, and panoramic observation spaces round out the onboard experience.

French-inspired cuisine is served in the main restaurant, with an additional outdoor or casual dining option at the Grill.
The ship offers lectures and presentations, live shows, concerts, a theatre, lounges, a library, and an underwater audiovisual experience in Blue Eye.
All 92 staterooms and suites are designed with outside views and balconies or private terraces. Categories include balcony staterooms, Deluxe, Prestige, Privilege, Grand Deluxe, and Owner’s suites.
The ship is primarily designed for adults and expedition travelers; selected accommodations can sleep up to three or four guests, and connecting options may be available by category.
Facilities include a spa, treatment rooms, sauna, hair salon, fitness room, and pool with panoramic views.
PONANT lists two ADA staterooms and accessible facilities at reception and other common areas.
The vessel incorporates environmental technologies associated with its expedition design, including diesel-electric propulsion and a 1C ice-class hull. PONANT states that it continues to enhance the ship’s environmental performance.
