Viking Gymir is a 190-guest Viking Longship designed for European river cruising on the Rhine, Main and Danube. Its compact 135-meter profile, panoramic public spaces and mostly outside accommodations place the emphasis on scenery and destination access. Passengers have a choice of veranda staterooms, French-balcony rooms and suites, while the Aquavit Terrace provides an indoor-outdoor viewing and dining area at the bow.
The ship has 95 outside staterooms, a 360-degree Sun Deck with shaded seating, a walking track, putting green and herb garden, plus the forward Aquavit Terrace & Lounge. A lounge, library, shop and panoramic restaurant round out the principal public spaces.
The main Restaurant offers panoramic views, while the Aquavit Terrace & Lounge provides a more casual indoor-outdoor setting for scenic dining and drinks.
Entertainment is centered on the lounge and bar, destination-focused programming, onboard enrichment and the ship’s panoramic viewing areas rather than large-scale theatrical venues.
All 95 staterooms are outside-facing. Categories include Standard, French Balcony, Veranda and Veranda Suites, with Explorer Suites offering separate living and sleeping areas.
Viking Gymir is designed primarily for adult-oriented destination cruising and does not advertise dedicated children’s clubs, waterslides or family recreation facilities.
The Sun Deck includes a walking track and open-air space for light recreation. The ship does not advertise a full spa or fitness-center complex.
An elevator serves the Middle and Upper Decks; the lower Standard categories E and F do not have elevator access, according to Viking’s ship information.
Viking describes the Longships as using ecologically friendly hybrid engines. The ship also features solar panels and an organic herb garden on the Sun Deck.
