Viking Vali is a 2019-built Viking Longship designed for European river cruising on the Rhine, Main and Danube. The 190-guest vessel combines Scandinavian-inspired interiors with a compact river-ship layout, panoramic public spaces and extensive river views. Its 95 outside staterooms include French balconies, verandas, veranda suites and two large Explorer Suites. Passengers can use the Aquavit Terrace, panoramic restaurant, lounge and bar, library, shop and open-air Sun Deck during the voyage.
A 360-degree Sun Deck, walking track, putting green, shaded seating and forward Aquavit Terrace provide outdoor viewing and dining. The ship also features a panoramic lounge, library and floor-to-ceiling-window restaurant.
The main Restaurant offers panoramic river views, while the forward Aquavit Terrace supports al fresco dining. Viking describes the Longship dining experience as including regional cuisine and familiar selections.
Onboard options include the Lounge & Bar, library, scenic Sun Deck, television and infotainment systems in staterooms, and Viking’s destination-focused enrichment programming.
All 95 staterooms are outside accommodations, including 25 Standard Staterooms, 22 French Balcony Staterooms, 39 Veranda Staterooms, 7 Veranda Suites and 2 Explorer Suites. Explorer Suites have separate living and sleeping areas plus expansive private balconies.
The ship offers a relatively quiet, adult-oriented river-cruise environment with open deck space, a library and onboard entertainment systems. No dedicated children’s club or youth program is identified on the official ship page.
The Sun Deck includes a walking track and open-air seating. Staterooms provide heated bathroom floors, spacious glass-enclosed showers and individual climate control.
An elevator connects the Middle and Upper decks, but the official page notes that categories E and F do not have elevator access. Accessibility is therefore limited in some lower-deck stateroom categories.
Viking identifies hybrid engines, solar panels and an organic herb garden among the Longship features. The hybrid propulsion is described as reducing vibration for a smoother ride.
