Its compact size supports access to a broad range of ports while retaining full-service amenities, including multiple pools, a Nordic-style spa and panoramic observation areas.
Adults-only cruising, Scandinavian design, all-veranda accommodations, destination-focused programming, open-air observation spaces and a relatively intimate 930-guest scale.
Multiple complimentary dining venues include the main restaurant, World Café buffet, specialty restaurants, casual poolside options and Mamsen’s Scandinavian café. Outdoor dining and destination-inspired menus are central features of the Viking ocean-ship concept.
Entertainment centers on live music, lectures, destination presentations, cultural enrichment, films and the ship’s planetarium. The program is generally low-key and educational rather than nightlife-oriented.
The ship has 465 staterooms, all with private verandas, including balcony staterooms, junior suites and larger suites. Rooms are designed with Scandinavian styling, plentiful storage and bathrooms with heated floors.
Viking Ocean ships are adults-only and do not provide children’s clubs, youth programming or family-oriented attractions.
Facilities include a Nordic-style spa with sauna, steam room and snow grotto, plus a fitness center, infinity pool and additional swimming areas.
Accessible staterooms and accessible public areas are available, but travelers should confirm the number and configuration of accessible rooms for their sailing directly with Viking.
The vessel uses diesel-electric propulsion, energy-efficient systems and a hull design intended to reduce fuel consumption and environmental impact. It also carries the Safe Return to Port safety designation.
